Investment Strategy
Might I suggest that if you are a shareholder of a company and have voting rights you should always vote to keep the greediest board member and replace the second greediest board member. The number two guy is where the blood spills most indiscriminately.

Darwin's 200th Birthday
Here is yet another little bit of info distinguishing the "facts" (natural history and biological succession) from the "theory" which tries (using the scientific process) to explain these "facts." Nowhere on this page do I see anything about how the "theory" contradicts the existence of god and leads entire generations of school children to become nihilistic and anarchistic atheists. The dogmatic stuff comes mostly from the Creationists. I do not tell you who and what you can or cannot do in your bedroom. In return I would like it if you kept your revisionist natural history out of the classroom. Teaching nonsense will NOT give American children in the 21st century a leg up in the globalized world. CUT THE CRAP!
Below is a link to some writings by some of the worlds most respected thinkers regarding Darwin's "theory" and the "facts":

AMERICAN FOOD
What is "American" food anyway? Few people ask this question on a regular basis. To me American food is corn and tomatoes and all the other wonderful products that are grown across this continent. I would also have to say that it is McDonald's and Burger King. These last two, if seen through narrow goggles from a foreigner's perspective are the most American of food there is. Heck, they even sell that great American pastime and food, apple pie, at both of these establishments. I guess the lesson to be learned here is that there may not be any one thing called "American" food from a world-wide perspective unless you dig a little deeper. There is Mexican food, Italian food, and Ethiopian cuisine, to name a few. These traditions in cooking are ubiquitous yet where does the good old US of A stand in the scheme of culinary tradition?
FUSION FOODS.
Fusion food is exactly what the name implies; a fusion of tradition and ingredients not possible without the ebb and nearly constant flowing of globalization. Whether we like it or not the United States of America is comprised of every nationality on the planet. That is some heavy influence in every gastronomic direction! What follows and continues to evolve is food that can be ostentatious, practical, or sometimes a bizarre confluence of sweet, sour, and bitterly delightful.
Whether it is seared Tempe and spinach feta wraps or a Thai version of clam chowder with a coconut milk base; Northern, Eastern, Western, and Southern cooking traditions fused to allow nearly unlimited variety. To that I say, "Bon appetit."

Creationize This!!!!
Well, we (as a collective country) can put a black man in the White House. We can't, as a country, convince ourselves that a scientific approach to the reality we find around us is enough to justify truly looking at that reality. Creationism is out there. It is telling us (with the book of Genesis as its only evidence) that dinosaurs and humans walked together in the garden of Eden. These dinosaurs played with children and despite their ferocious looking teeth, the were actually just big cuddly reptiles that didn't start eating each other until Noah let them off the ark.
Did Noah put the Chinese people on the ark two by two? Are there any records of this in the long cultural history of the Chinese civilization? I've never seen a Stegosaurus made out of Jade. Maybe I missed that room in Taiwan's Royal Palace Museum. If you have a sense of humor, or would just like further "proof" that creationism is the only ticket, by all means check out the short Youtube film below. Seriously, how could creationism be wrong if there is a museum devoted to it. Art museums ensure that art is real. Does not the authoritative aspect of a museum ensure that the contents therein are up to the standards? Apparently standards are not so standard. Aquariums convince us that fish are real. A Creationism Museum must mean that creationism is real, despite the fact that hundreds of other natural history museums exist throughout the world, giving visitors a completely different view of history than this one Kentucky museum. I just feel sorry for the poor soul who is trying to tell me that through a process no different than sheer magic mud and bones solidified into rock and fossils within the last 6,000 years. That musta been HOT!!!!
The Bible belt is the perfect primordial ooze pond for the scum of idiocy and ignorance to flourish. I just feel bad for the children who will be taught this dribble and then forced into the REAL world where their outmoded education will not serve them. Let the cycle of poverty and ignorance continue.
And Oh yeah, where does Australopithecus fit into this conversation. and Lascaux's cave paintings "carbon dated" to 10,000 years ago. Creationists will tell you that carbon dating is BS,(it does have its flaws and drawbacks.) My aunt, Dr. Barbara am Ende would happily tell these people to go handle some plutonium, because after all they do not believe in radiation. They just told you so when they said that carbon-dating (based on radioactive half-lives of elements) is nonsense. Good luck my glowing creationist friends!!!
Anyway, without further ado... some British guy trying to prove that once again his Calvinist and Puritan forefathers came across the pond in search of a new place to spout BS and succeeded. Seacrest out.

Deutschland, Deautschland... uber Linguists?
I happened to stumble upon this little ditty a few minutes ago. This wiki could affect you personally. I hope not however for your sake. I guess actually going through with those pesky auto-updates paid off well this time. I personally appreciated the "Origin of name" section. I hope your pronunciation is up to par to be in on the joke.

Joke In Poor Taste.... Yummy!
I found this joke today in a comment regarding Steve Earle's "Copperhead Road" Youtube Video. The general conversation of the comments was more or less a vague and uninformed civil war between the less than genteel Southerners and their occasionally naively haughty Northern neighbors. Boy oh boy is 144 years of unity not quite enough to bridge that chasm...
Two hillbillies and a Frenchy are amblin down a dirt road and come across an old blue tick hound alickin himself. One hillbilly turns to the other and says, "boy doncha wisht you cud do that?". The othern says, "yeah but sure enough if I did and that dog would bite me."
Foreigner says, "Stupid Americans I'll show you how!"
Hillbillies just grin and mumble, "Boy them furriners shur iz easy. Flip on the iphone and we'll upload this to youtube".
